Payment Plans and Bond Receipts
We understand that often money is tight and coming up with funds for a standard retainer can by difficult. We usually CAN accept bond receipts to cover some of attorney fees in Vanderburgh County cases and some other Indiana counties where the Court protects the attorney's lien. The Courts in some Indiana counties, though, will not protect the attorney's lien and in those counties the Bond is of unknown value until the case is over. The court might subtract fines, court costs, probation and other program fees from the bond money on file, leaving very little or none to go toward attorney fees.
We pledge to keep our retainers reasonable and to work with you to see if a plan can be agreed upon that allows us to help you in your case and provides a way for us to work together. Often, the fee is a combination of a bond receipt plus one or two payments as the case gets close to the final stage or is resolved.
